Swim Team
Tiburon Sharks

Summer League begins Tuesday May 26th, 2026
Practice is Monday – Friday
11 & Up 8-9am | 10 & Under 9-10am
Make-up practices may be held Monday-Thursday from 5p-6p at the coach’s discretion.
Summer League
The Tiburon Sharks Swim Team is an excellent way to introduce younger swimmers to the world of competitive swimming. The swim team is open to members ONLY. Interested swimmers are encouraged to come check out a practice to see for themselves.
Anyone who is a member of Tiburon Pool and 6-18 years of age is welcome to join the swim team. Races for swimmers 10 & under are one length of the pool; races for swimmers 11 & older are two lengths of the pool. Anyone wishing to join should be able to handle swimming these lengths without struggling and have understanding of the four strokes - - freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke, butterfly. A good rule of thumb is that the swimmer should have completed Level 4 swim lessons.

Swim meets are Wednesday evenings
-

Volunteering
Because swim meets are staffed by volunteers, parents are needed to work at two swim meets. Tasks include working the ready area, timers, and runners. You can schedule your volunteer times at the parent meeting in June.
Final Meet
The season concludes with a city-wide meet that occurs mid-July.
Team Fees
$90 (per swimmer)
This cost includes a team t-shirt, swim cap, and covers league fees and coach salaries.

Daily communications will be done by email and the Facebook group page.
Coaches

Emily Fulcher
Hi, I’m Emily! I have been working at Tiburon for 3 summers, and this will be my first year coaching. I have been a competitive swimmer for the past 13 years. I started back when I was 6 on the Tiburon team and have been swimming club at Greater Omaha Aquatics ever since. I am so excited to be able to help others enjoy the sport just as much as I do and make so many fun memories! Outside of the pool, I just graduated from Millard West High School and I am planning on attending Lincoln next year to study exercise science.

Madie Petrick
Hi, I’m Madie! This is my second year coaching the Sharks, but my fourth year on the Tiburon staff. I started my 13-year long competitive swimming career as a Tiburon Shark when I was six years old, and now, I’m beyond excited to create lasting memories for the next generation. Aside from Tiburon, I’m heading into my freshman year of college, where I’ll be studying journalism at Boston University!
